About Awards

Every year, inventors and innovators gather from far and wide to be part of the prestigious MTE Innovation Awards Programme, hoping to cinch a gold medal or a special award. A recognition by MTE is highly regarded and one that is coveted by many in the industry. In 2020, MTE introduces Social Innovation Asia Awards; bringing even more opportunities for hard work and merit to be duly recognised. Each year, MTE aims to continue inspiring, educating and raising up young inventors and innovators to create the next generation of technopreneurs for the future.

INVENTION & INNOVATION AWARDS 2020

The Invention & Innovation Awards is one that attracts participants from Asia and beyond. In 2019, the awards attracted 258 entries as well as presented 85 Gold Awards, 75 Silver Awards and 69 Bronze Awards. These awards also recognize outstanding participants through its 16 Special Awards and 16 Foreign Awards. Every year, more and more impressive entries are scrutinised by an expert panel of judges to reveal the final results, making the landscape one that is worthy of competition and one that carries substantial clout. Participants can expect an even more exciting year in 2020.

PUBLIC SERVICE INNOVATION AWARDS 2020

The Public Service Innovation Awards is created to recognise the innovations that has been designed, developed or implemented within the public service and provide a platform to share and showcase innovative approaches and solutions across the public sectors; encouraging others to adopt innovations in public administrations. In 2019, we received positive response allowing us to achieve our objectives in stimulating more innovation in public sector organizations and improving the public’s perception of the public sector.

ASIAN YOUTH INNOVATION AWARDS 2020

The Asian Youth Innovation Awards was created in 2014 to foster, nurture and encourage the participation of youths in science, technology and innovation. Now in its 7th year, the Asian Youth Innovation Awards will continue to provide a platform for youths to exhibit and share their work with the public, providing them essential first-hand experience of participating in the “real world”, boosting their life skills – such as communication, critical thinking, and tenacity that will equip students to thrive in the classroom and when they enter the workplace.

SOCIAL INNOVATION ASIA AWARDS 2020

We believe that everyone can take the first step to think an innovative solution to improve the city they live in. Whether they are an NGO, governmental agency or private sector, if they have successfully implemented an idea that tackles a pressing social issue related to their country then we invite their participation in our inaugural MTE’s Social Innovation Asia Awards 2020 that not only acknowledges but celebrates their efforts in enhancing their country’s socio-economic situation.
