The “Comprehensive COVID-19 Protective Equipment” project is designed and develop as aid for frontliners to fight against COVID-19 virus. This comprehensive equipment consists of three items which are; (1) PPE Suit, (2) Reusable Face Shield Visor and (3) Reusable Intubation Box. The project is funded by Malaysia Innovation Foundation (YIM) and SME Corp. Malaysia, under the High Impact Programme 6: (HIP 6). The RM150,000 fund is led by Dr. Hanisa Binti Hassan from Universiti Malaysia Kelantan along with five other co-innovators to produce 2,000 sets of PPE suit, 5,000 pcs of face shield visor and 100 units of intubation box for the needy frontliners. The project is assisted by Pengkalan Chepa Prison, Kelantan Malaysian Red Crescent and the quality is checked by medical experts from Raja Perempuan Zainab II Hospital. The design of the three items are also verified by Engineering Services Division, Ministry of Health Malaysia, and registered under MyIPO. Currently, we are supplying the Comprehensive COVID-19 Protective Equipment to Alor Setar Prison for the usage of their wardens and staff as they are battling the pandemic in the Targeted Enhanced Movement Control Order (TEMCO) zone.
